Reformation @ 500
2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, which began on October 31, 1517, when Dr. Martin Luther nailed 95 debate statements, or theses, on the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. The main idea was over God's grace and how we are freely forgiven through Jesus Christ, not being saved by doing good works or buying forgiveness. As we recognize this 500 year milestone, we're not blowing our own trumpet, but we are wanting everyone in the world to believe in Jesus as their only Savior and Lord ("Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12) before the last trumpet is blown and it's too late. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
